Stress Management

Everyone is under pressure of some sort for most of their working day and their home life. However when things are piling up, and there is not enough time to get through everything, these same pressures can evolve into stress and anxiety, which in turn can lead to depression and illness.

A survey carried out by the Health & Safety Executive has shown that half a million Britons suffer illnesses related to stress at work, and this is probably an underestimate. Learning how

to first recognise, and then manage stress requires more than helpful tips. Changing economic times have us pulled in multiple directions. The pressures and demands between work and personal life are blurred. As a result, the consequences of stress in the workplace come from what is happening to each of us both on and off the job.

Delegates will learn the difference between pressure; a positive aid to performance, and stress; an early mechanism that something is wrong and a hazard to physical and mental health. We will show delegates the impact of perception and how to monitor, evaluate and reduce stress indicators. Learning to manage stress has benefits for everyone. The individual achieves a better quality of life and the organisation improves productivity and profitability.

STRESS occurs when pressure exceeds your perceived ability to cope!
