A specialist training group has become one of only a small number of providers in the UK to be recognised by the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM).
Jigsaw Training satisfied strict criteria to receive accreditation to deliver the full suite of BIFM training and qualifications to its learners across the UK.
The Preston-based firm is now one of only 22 accredited training providers for the BIFM, which promotes excellence in facilities management for the benefit of practitioners, the economy and society.
Learners studying for a BIFM qualification through Jigsaw Training will also receive free membership to BIFM for 12 months.
James Blackhurst, managing director at Jigsaw Training said: “This is an endorsement of the high quality training provided by Jigsaw. It’s a great milestone for us and we’re pleased to be advancing the facilities management profession through the delivery of professional qualifications.
“As the idea of multi-skilling becomes more and more prominent within facilities management, qualifications such as those provided by BIFM are increasingly important in terms of responsiveness, flexibility and efficiencies.”
BIFM was founded in 1993 and is the professional body for facilities management in the UK. It delivers qualifications which support careers within the industry.
Jigsaw Training works with clients ranging from MITIE, Compass Group, The Royal Opera House, Places for People, GlaxoSmithKline, Transport for London and National Express. It provides a comprehensive range of training to reduce risk associated with failure to meet service level agreements, and is also an approved centre with City & Guilds, Edexcel and NOCN.
