Training company specialist Jigsaw Training has teamed up with the Association of Healthcare Cleaning Professionals (AHCP) to deliver training to 300 of its members.
The partnership will enable participants to develop a range of skills relating to domestic and healthcare cleaning, with the AHCP eventually being set up as a City and Guilds centre by Jigsaw Training.
Upon completion of the 12-month course, which started in October, members will receive a certificate from the accredited programme, which will support the association’s new domestic services workbook, the Passport.
James Blackhurst, managing director of Jigsaw Training, said: “This major learning and development programme will not only benefit participants but also the healthcare industry as a result. The need for increased efficiencies within the industry remains a priority, and we can address this by providing a total training package.”
Judith Hudson, director at the AHCP, said: “This is a great opportunity for our members to receive important training, which reinforces our aim to continue to raise standards in healthcare cleaning and hygiene.”
The AHCP is the largest professional association for healthcare cleaning in the UK with around 500 members, split into nine regional branches consisting of managers involved in all aspects of healthcare cleaning in public and private sector services.
Jigsaw Training is a total training solutions company providing a complete package for its clients from training needs to the administration, delivery and management of programmes.
