Fresh thinking training scheme kick-starts careers
Young people from across Essex have been given an opportunity to kick-start their career with a ground-breaking apprenticeship championed by MITIE.
The Facilities Services Apprenticeship was devised as part of MITIE’s 10 year contract with Essex County Council and MITIE will be recruiting another 11 Facilities Services Apprentices as well as five Mechanical and Electrical Apprentices this year thanks to its successful first intake.

Training provider gives Booths secure future
Thirteen loss prevention investigators at Lancashire supermarket chain Booths have achieved a security & loss prevention qualification.
The diploma, gained through a tailored programme designed by Jigsaw Training, was delivered to security staff at Booths to develop the in-house loss prevention team.
The security staff members who work within Booth’s 28 North West stores were presented with their certificates by chairman of the company, Edwin Booth at Booths Central Office, Preston.
The qualification, approved and awarded by the National Open College Network and Skills for Security is a bespoke package created by leading total solutions training company Jigsaw Training. Continue reading “Training provider gives Booths secure future” »
